VisorOptics · Mk III
How the system is wired, what we stand for, why we built it the way we did, and the riders it was built for.
Each lens is cut from optical polycarbonate to your prescription within microns. Anti-fog, anti-reflective, and hard-coat treatments come as standard, not as upsell tiers. The cohort starting summer 2026 fits 142 helmets from the major manufacturers.
The five filters every lens that leaves Sheffield has to pass.
If the rider can't see better than before, we haven't shipped the right product.
Your helmet is your helmet. We adapt to it. Not the other way round.
AF, AR, and HC coatings on every lens. ISO 8980-1 optics, ANSI Z87.1 impact.
Cut, coated, and quality-checked in Sheffield. Signed off by an optical engineer.
One lens, one price. Free Rx replacement for twelve months. No subscription.
"We refuse to ship anything we wouldn't ride ourselves. It took longer than we hoped. It's the reason we trust what comes off the bench."
"For thirty years, every rider who needed glasses has been told to put up with fog, slip, and pressure at the bridge of the nose. That's been quietly unacceptable for thirty years."
Glasses inside a helmet were never a designed solution. They were a workaround that became routine because nobody got round to fixing it. By the time we'd noticed, most riders had simply adapted. The wipe before the helmet. The push back up the nose. The bag of contact lenses for long days. The half hour of preparation before the engine starts.
VisorOptics exists to refuse that compromise. Not louder, not more aggressive, not with more features. Just a different starting point: that the rider already owns the helmet they want, and the system has to fit it. A prescription insert cut to the rider's eyes. Magnetic. Removable in under a minute. Designed in Sheffield by a team that came through the Royal Academy of Engineering Enterprise Hub.
The combination, precision optics plus an unintrusive mount, is the part we think actually matters. Each one is fine on its own. Together they let the rider stop noticing the system and start noticing the road again.
We started by asking a small group of riders what they actually do, where their compromises were biggest, and what they'd change. Six rider profiles came back. The Mk III is for all of them.
Cold mornings, low sun, glasses fogging at every junction. The hardest test, the simplest payoff.
Three hundred miles between coffee stops. Pressure points on the bridge of the nose are not optional. Our 12g insert is.
Eighty-mile-an-hour entries and exits. Glasses are a no, contacts are a maybe. Optical-grade, helmet-mounted is a definite.
Same bike, same route, every season. The day + night cohort is yours, photochromic on order.
First helmet, first season, already wearing glasses. The lower the friction, the more time on two wheels.
Coming back to bikes in your fifties. Eyes have changed. The compromise that worked at thirty doesn't anymore.
Cohort 003 is open now and limited to 800 UK riders. Reservation is a fully refundable £149 deposit. Lead time is 14 days from prescription receipt. Free replacement for 12 months if your prescription changes.
